Router ENG
router.
• Insert the guide rods (C) into router base. For
maximum stability, make sure each rod goes
through both holes and protrudes out the other
side of the router base (At a maximum, the rods
must be inserted far enough into the router
base that they are supported from below base.
• Securely fasten the router to the rods by
tightening the locking screws (12). The largest
circles and arcs can be made when the guide
rods enter the side of the router where the
locking screws (12) are located.
Mark the workpiece at the center of the desired
circle.
Using the centering slots on the edge of the
pivot plate (22), center the pivot plate on the
center mark and attach to the workpiece with
several strips of strong tape placed over the
pivot plate in a crisscross pattern.
• Place fine adjustment guide (F) on pivot plate
(22) so the hole in fine adjustment guide (F) fits
over the steel pin.
• Adjust the position of the rods and router as
necessary to achieve the desired radius of the
circle or arc, then securely tighten wing knobs.
13. CARBON BRUSH REPLACEMENT
Always be sure that the tool is switched off
and unplugged before attempting to perform
inspection or maintenance.
There are 2 motor brushes which can be easily
accessed on either the front or back of the
motor housing.
ATTENTION:
When servicing a tool, ALWAYS use only
identical replacement parts.
STEP 1: Locate the plastic motor brush caps on
both the front and back of the motor housing.
STEP 2: Remove the threaded access cap on
accessible carbon brushes (30) with a flathead
screwdriver and turn the screw in a counter-
clockwise rotation to loosen.
STEP 3: Gently remove the old motor brush.
STEP 4: Carefully insert the replacement brush.
Ensure the brush is completely inserted into
the holder and is seated properly and is free to
move inside its holder.
STEP 5: Replace the access cap with the flat-
head screwdriver, turning clockwise to tighten.
Do not apply excessive force as this may
damage the access plug.
Note: Always change both sets of brushes at
the same time.

serviceable parts in your power tool. Never
use water or chemical cleaners to clean your
power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always
store your power tool in a dry place. Keep the
